Once again the coaches and nba players did a great job voting the reserves for the All Star teams. They Voted in the young guys who were definitely worthy of being selected. Rumor Central-NBA

With the nba trade deadline quickly approaching the rumor mill is starting to swirl. Febuary 23 is the trade deadline for the NBA and this is the year to land the point guard to take your team to the next level. The major players being discussed are Jason Kidd, Sam Cassell, and Andre Miller. Wether your team looking to add the final piece to your championship puzzle (Boston, Cleveland, Dallas) or help thrust your team to the top the conference (Atlanta and Portland) this is year to add that guard to lend help to your team. I have heard Jason Kidd going to Dallas for a package including up and coming Devin Harris and Jerry Stackhouse. Also the possibility of Portland acquiring Andre Miller for some help to the young developing Sixers. But by far the best rumor i have heard is the trade of Jason Kidd to Atlanta. As hard as it may be more dreaming and speculation then a legitimate possibility, the idea of Jason Kidd  dishing the rock to young high flyers like Josh Smith and Marvin Williams as well as Joe Johnson who is becoming a superstar. Stay tuned to see what transactions go down before the February 23 deadline.

Super Bowl XLII

With Super Bowl XLII fast approaching, i figured i take my opportunity to put my two cents in and make a prediction. After watching Plaxico Burress, Brandon Jacobs, Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, and company play from week 17 against the Patriots and throughout the playoffs its hard to not like what you see. Eli Manning has looked more like Peyton, with precision timed passes and perfectly placed balls. The Giants defense doing anything and everything they need to do to win, its hard to pick against them. That is except for the fact that they are playing the 18-0 New England Patriots who like one of the best and most complete teams ever assembled. I put them up with the 89 and 94 49ers, 85 bears and the Cowboys teams of the early 90′s based upon star power. I would like to see how many players from those teams are in the Hall of Fame in 20 years or so. With that said its time for a prediciton. As much as I want the Giants to win based on my respect and admiration for Plaxico Burress and Michael Strahan, I can’t go against the Patriots in this one. Patriots will win 36-30 with Eli resorting to his old self on the final drive of the game in the waining seconds. No last minute attempt for Adam Vinatieri in this one. Enjoy the Super Bowl.

Chris Bosh’s awesome attempt at getting on the All-Star team.

When you play for the Raptors its hard to get the fans attention. So Chris Bosh took advantage of the web and the popularity of you tube to make a cheesy video to get the fans attention. Its awesomely bad. Now Chris Bosh is a good player and probably deserves it but its still awesome how he went about getting votes.
